SAFETY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Unspoken Safety is an uprising of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings, and friends. We are paving the way for disabled children, children who are preverbal or nonspeaking to be safe in all areas of life. Safety is not and never will be a luxury. It is a requirement, and we are here to make sure everyone knows it. If you or someone you know has had their child with disabilities abused, please reach out. We are here to support you and point you in the right direction. Our children who don't have their own voice depend us, lets make them proud.

Our Story

Unspoken Safety was created to address the abuse experienced by nonverbal children. Our long-term vision is bringing attention to this horrific reality and creating safer environments within school systems for all kids to learn and grow. In March of 2024 Jess Vestal made a request to review bus footage at the Littleton Public School transportation office. Her son, Dax, had come home once again covered in bruises. The day after the request was made she learned a horrible truth. Dax's paraprofessional on the bus had been severely abusing him, and later found out, others as well. Since that day the parents of Dax, and his classmates Hunter and Andrew have been fighting for change. Read the full detailed story here. Join us today by subscribing to emails to get the latest updates on the ongoing case, as well as opportunities to be involved in the mission to put safe guards into place for kids all across the US.

Get Involved in Change

Our current and most important call to action is to click the link on the top of this page that says "Take Action" to sign the Change.org petition to raise awareness, and demand these disgusting abusers be held accountable.

The people physically committing acts of abuse are abhorrent at best. However we must address the deeply rooted issue. If you kill a cockroach on sight, you've killed one cockroach. However your house will still be infested.

Had these abusers not been given the space, and opportunity to abuse children by the school system, our kids and many like them, could have been kept safe. The criminal charges against our children's abuser are merely the beginning. We are going to each district and demanding policy change. Regulations. Accountability. If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere- but only if they let it. Our goal is to change the system at its core, because we care about children. Do the districts? We will find out.

Please join us for LPS Board Meetings, even if its only virtually. I have the links posted to the top of the home page for every meeting to join live. Feel free to speak if you feel called to, but simply attending is a show of support.
